For a long time, Apple’s operation system was considered the most secure of all the commercially offered, but in 2014 that was not the case. According to network and security solutions provider GFI, the top three most vulnerable operating systems last year were Apple’s Mac OS X, Apple iOS, and the Linux kernel. A group of hackers collectively known as DerpTrolling revealed data proving that they have successfully obtained login credentials for the PlayStation Network, 2K Game Studios, and Windows Live. The group stated that the purpose of these breaches was to call out the vulnerability and hold the companies accountable for their lack of cybersecurity.
