While Google, like many, are taking steps to make sure consumers’ devices, emails, and platforms are secure. In order to increase the use of TLS/SSL in all services and platforms, the Android Security team has built “nogotofail,†a tool that scans and confirms whether or not your device or applications are safe from known TLS/SSL vulnerabilities. Nogotfail works on any device that can access the internet, regardless of operating system.
This new development could help any person monitor the security of their devices. Now is the time for more tools that can operate in any OS and build up the protection/use of TLS/SSL. Google has currently released nogotofail as an open source project so that users can become freely protection, but also text the tool and its limitations for future updates.
