Panda Security has reported that they have stopped and blocked 75 million samples of malware last year, nearly double of what they stopped in 2013. Panda recorded an average of 200,000 new malware strains per day in 2014. Trojans appeared as the most common malware as it accounted for 70% of all new malware created. Hacker Bypasses Biometric Security Systems
Jan Krissler, known in hacker circles as Starbug, has found a way to fool IRIS biometric security system. Using basic close-up photo of an official’s thumb from different angles, Krissler could clone a thumbprint that could bypass security.
