Pinterest is the latest major website implementing a bug bounty program. The company decided to start a bounty program as it became a fully HTTPS website which allows more wiggle room for hackers to strike. Pinterest originally awarded t-shirts and other merchandise as reward, but as they expand they now pay money for exposed flaws. Payments Feature Added to Facebook
Facebook has added a feature to its Messenger that allows users to send or receive money between each other. To use the feature, Facebook users will have to link a debit care to the account and Facebook will merely act as a payments processor, warning that it may take up to 3 business days for the transaction to occur. UK Businesses Prime Targets for Data Breaches
A new study has found that 34% of businesses in the United Kingdom don’t have a data breach response plan and those that do have a plan often are missing components such as specialist crisis communications and legal support. RIP Internet Explorer, Here Comes Project Spartan
Microsoft will be doing away with Internet Explorer as a default web browser when Windows 10 is released. Microsoft intends on pushing “Project Spartan†to Windows OS users as its main browser. “Project Spartan†is merely a placeholder name as Microsoft is looking for a viable one.
