Hackers have been able to run roughshod over the past couple years. Target, Sony, and now Anthem have been the most public targets with data breaches that compromised the identities of millions of people. Even the best cybersecurity programs can be broken, but that doesn’t mean we can’t make things more difficult for hackers.
Companies should educate their employees about cybersecurity and have them change their passwords regularly. IT teams should look at accounts and rename them to throw off any hacker’s scent or delete them entirely if the data is outdated.
