Hacker Claims FBI Charged Him After Refusing to Spy

Fidel Salinas, a hacker with ties to the hacktivist group Anonymous, was charged with 44 felony charges that were later dismissed. In the aftermath, Salinas revealed that he believes the charges were brought up as a scare tactic after refusing to work with the FBI. Salinas has no evidence that such a thing took place and the FBI has flatly denied his accusation.
